Learn about why we started our journey

Our mission is to safeguard children & adults at risk with enhanced workforce verification

Our vision is to create a global network of verified individuals

Why Safeguard-Me exists?

We understand the challenges of ensuring the well-being of those entrusted in your care. Our vision is to create a global network of digitally verified professionals and volunteers. We’re a human company based around a SaaS solution (is that a category?) and we want to revolutionise the way safeguarding is approached by:

  • Making a faster and more efficient process for verifying your teams safeguarding credentials correctly and in real time.
  • Help increase the overall knowledgebase of what safeguarding entails and remove ambiguity with our consultants who also have international experience.
  • Lifting organisations across all sectors to a higher, consistent standard of best practice, working closely with NGBs.

We make it easier for organisations to imbed safeguarding, which in turn empowers organisations and individuals to work with confidence and spend more time on the day-to-day.

Now for the long-winded version

We started our journey at Safeguard-Me to facilitate digitally remote verification of identity checks, DBS checks, qualifications and references. In all we help facilitate, what can be, over 45 steps to verify someone depending upon their role, but as daunting as that sounds, our platform enables you to do the correct checks in minutes.

  • This allows for quicker onboarding of new staff saving time and cost.
  • Creates an automatic, fully auditable, compliant trail of what was checked, when and by who, which is required in regulated sectors and best practice for others.
  • Track expiring credentials such as right to work, ensuring you’re not putting your organisation at risk either with regulators or your insurance.
  • Empowers individuals to showcase verified credentials and build trust with clients.
  • Offer a secure platform for managing and sharing verification data.

We developed Safeguard-Me because we saw organisations were using multiple, inefficient solutions to do this and many told us they particularly wish the admin side was a lot easier. Manually capturing data in spreadsheets, physically meeting the person to see their credentials, photocopying IDs and storing in filing cabinets, using various different software solutions to capture different elements and so on were frustrating and time consuming. It was the fractured nature of how everyone was doing it, which has an unintended by-product of inconsistent standards, that rose the idea to create the first solution to do all this digitally and in one place.

We’re not done though, there are more features to come, which we will work directly with our clients to prioritise what is needed. To that end, we are very interested to hear any challenges you have that could be solved with new features so please contact us if you have any ideas.
